Muhammad Ali in Blue

Cassius Clay as he's never been presented before. Or something like that.  This piece is a personal favorite.  Not only because of the subject, but also the way it turned out.  Muhammad Ali is shown partly in the light of celebrity he relished.  The backdrop of that light is the darkness of his often controversial personal life and public statements. The relative simplicity of the palette stands counter to the diverse nature of the causes he championed.  

Regardless of the so-called "dark side" of this legend, the time taken to create this and the first of my own works to hang in my home help to highlight the positive impact he has had on his sport, the public good, and civil rights.

Proceeds from the sale of these prints will help to fund an educational cultural immersion project.  We will be introducing our family to the diverse people that make up the world, along with their religions and their cultures.  In doing this we not only open up the world to our young students and older children, but we also allow them to make decisions on their own life and beliefs based upon personal experience.  Thank you for helping support this vision.
